Image result for kupeHistory tells us that Kupe is a brave explorer and traveled around Aotearoa on a waka. He was married to Hine-te-Aparangi and his daughters are Matiu and Makaro. Kupe was a cruel and selfish person because he drowned his cousins to marry his wife. He left and sailed across the Pacific Ocean because his tribe was angry with him and came across a giant octopus. Howick historical village

On Thursday room 8 went to Howick historical village and we went in a lot of old houses and we learnt a lot, it was really fun. The school was the best because we learnt a lot of things that they did at school in the olden days. There was another place where we learnt other languages and at the end we played a lot of old games they played at school in the olden days. They had a museum that had a lot of beds and outside they had a pump tap that you had to push down and up for water. And there was a house that was only made out of straw and sticks and it looked very cold if they did not have a fire on. And actually i think that the house might light on fire. Would you like to visit Howick and what would you do there?
